Description
Offered for sale is a still sealed mono U.S. pressing of Connie’s Greatest Hits by Connie Francis.
About this copy: This copy of Connie’s Greatest Hits is a 1962 pressing on the MGM label of an album that was originally released in 1959 with a different cover.
As the album is still sealed, the record is presumably new and unplayed.
The wrap is fully intact except for a 1″ break at the mouth and a 2″ break at the center of the bottom edge. There is also a 1″ cover split there. We’ve secured the break in the wrap with tape to prevent further splitting.
There is a tiny amount of mildew under the wrap in the lower right hand corner on the back.
A nice copy of a scarce Connie Francis LP, as most copies were sold when the album was first released.
Background: Originally released in 1959, Connie’s Greatest Hits was the sixth album by Connie Francis. The album reached #17 on the U.S. album charts.
The original 1959 issue had a photo of Francis with a top hat and a baton. The 1962 reissue depicted her in a sweater and holding a megaphone.
Both versions of the album contain the same material.
