Offered for sale is a still sealed U.S. mono copy of the Yardbirds 1966 LP, Over Under Sideways Down.
While the shrink wrap has been removed from the cover, the record is still sealed in the plastic inner sleeve.
About this copy: The copy offered for sale is a 1966 mono U.S. pressing on the Epic label.
As the inner sleeve is still sealed, the record is presumably new and unplayed.
The cover is VG+ with slight general wear and a bit of wear on the lower left hand corner. Unlike many mono copies, this one does not have a cutout hole. There is an address label attached to the upper left hand corner of the back cover.
The seal on the plastic inner sleeve is fully intact with no rips or tears.
A gorgeous copy of a classic album that would be difficult to upgrade.
Background: While Over Under Sideways Down was the Yardbirds’ third LP released in the United States, the album (with a different title and slight track changes) was the band’s first studio LP be released in Britain. For our money, it’s their best effort and one of the best rock LPs by any band of the 1960s.
It’s also the band’s only album with Jeff Beck playing on all tracks.
The mono and stereo versions of this album contain different mixes, and part of the stereo version is in rechanneled stereo.
The album peaked at #51 on the Billboard albums chart, though the UK version reached #20 on the British charts.
Like most of the band’s albums, Over Under Sideways Down wasn’t in print very long, for whatever reason, they’re surprisingly hard to find in playable condition.
