The red vinyl disc is M- with one or two spindle marks on the labels, but no marks on the vinyl. Clean disc!
A beautiful copy of a terrific LP that’s very hard to find complete.
Background: The Mamas & the Papas were quite popular in Japan, and several compilation LPs were issued there that were not released anywhere else.
All About the Mamas & the Papas was released in 1968 and contained tracks from the group’s first four albums, along with a Cass Elliott solo track, “California Earthquake.”
The LP has the same cover as the American LP Farewell to the First Golden Era, Vol. 2, but with a completely different track listing.
First issues of the album were issued on the Stateside label and were pressed on red vinyl. The 1971 reissue was on the Probe label; those pressings were black vinyl only.
Tracks are:
- California Earthquake
- Monday Monday
- For The Love Of Ivy
You Baby - Twist And Shout
- Glad To Be Unhappy
- In Crowd
- California Dreamin’
- My Girl
