Offered for sale is a copy of the Japan-only double album Julie London Golden Disk, by Julie London, including the 12 page booklet and original obi.
This album was issued with both red and green covers; this is the green one.
About this copy: This copy of Julie London Golden Disk is a 1972 Japanese pressing on the Liberty label.
Unlike most of Julie London’s Japanese titles, all copies of this album were pressed on black vinyl.
The cloth-bound gatefold cover is VG+ with a couple of small splits in the bottom of the pockets that hold the LPs.
The obi is VG+ with slight foxing. The “hojyuhyo” (reorder tag) is still attached. The 12 page booklet is M-.
Side one is VG+ with two inaudible light scratches. Side two is VG++ with a single inaudible scratch.
Sides three and four are M- with a couple of spindle marks on the labels, but no marks on the vinyl.
A nice copy of a fairly scarce set that’s hard to find complete, as the obi and booklet are often missing.
Background: Released in 1972, Julie London Golden Disk was part of a series of 2 LP compilation albums issued by Toshiba in Japan. All of them had deluxe, cloth-bound covers.
