Background: Released in 1982, The Sheffield Track Record was issued as an audio demonstration disc. It’s actually an EP, with just two songs on each side and a 16 minute playing time.
Cut direct to disk, the LP features Robbie Buchanan and Janes Newton Howard on keyboards, Lenny Castro on Percussion, Nathan East on bass, Mike Landau on guitar, and Carlos Vega on drums.
Harry Pearson, founder of The Absolute Sound, called this album the “best-sounding rock record ever made.”
