About this copy: This copy of this is…nothin’ but MADONNA is a 1987 Japanese pressing on the Warner-Pioneer label.
The cover is VG+, with slight corner wear, and an ink stamp on the left side of the front cover.
There are two pieces of black paper glued to the back cover. It appears that these were applied at the factory, likely to cover up titles of two songs that were not included on the final LP. As far as we know, all copies of this album are like this.
This album was issued without an obi or a lyric insert.
The disc is VG++ and close to M- with a couple of faint hairlines on side one. Side two is visually M- with no marks on the vinyl. There are a number of spindle marks on the labels. There is a minor ink stamp on the side two label.
A nice copy of a rare Madonna LP and the first copy we’ve had for sale since the 1980s.
Background: Released in 1987, this is…nothin’ but MADONNA is a compilation album released in Japan as a promotional item to help encourage sales of Madonna’s first three albums.
The cover depicts photos from the then-current limited edition picture disc pressings of those three albums.
