About this copy: This copy of Stand By Your Man is an original 1971 Japanese issue on the Capitol label, pressed on “Everclean” red vinyl.

The red vinyl white label promo disc is M- and looks unplayed.
A nice copy of a rare pop/R&B LP.
Background: Candi Staton isn’t all that well known to most listeners, but over the past 50 years she’s released 28 studio albums and more than 30 singles.
One of them, “Now You’ve Got the Upper Hand,” routinely sells for more than $1000 to collectors of Northern Soul.
Stand by Your Man, released in 1971, was her first LP and contained her cover of the Tammy Wynette song, and it reached #4 on the U.S. R&B charts and #24 on the U.S. pop charts.
