Offered for sale is an original U.S. pressing of the half speed mastered sound effects LP The Power and the Majesty, issued by Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs.
This sound effects LP features a thunderstorm on side one and steam locomotive 4449 on side two. This LP, if played at high volume, can damage audio equipment!
About this copy: This copy of The Power and the Majesty is a 1978 U.S. pressing on the Mobile Fidelity label. While technically a U.S. release, the disc was pressed in Japan by JVC using their proprietary “Supervinyl” compound.
The cover is VG+ with slight edge and corner wear. The posterboard stiffener is missing.
The half speed mastered disc is M- with a couple of spindle marks on the labels, but no marks on the vinyl. Clean disc!

Background: Released in 1978, The Power and the Majesty was the fourth title in Mobile Fidelity’s Original Master Recording series of half speed mastered LPs.
This LP was often used in stereo showrooms to show off high-end stereo equipment. The cover warns (correctly) that this album, if played at high volume, could damage your audio equipment.
