Description
Offered for sale is an early U.S. stereo pressing of the 2 LP box set of Swan Lake, performed by Ernest Ansermet conducting L’Orchestre De La Suisse Romande.
About this copy: This copy of Swan Lake is an early 1960s U.S. pressing on the London label. While technically a U.S. release, the discs were pressed by Decca in the UK.
The album was originally released in 1959 and London began pressing their albums in the U.S. in 1965, so this pressing dates between 1959-1964.
The box is M- with trace corner wear, but no splits. The original plastic-lined inner sleeves are M-.
The two discs are M- with a couple of spindle marks on the labels, but no marks on the vinyl. Clean discs!
A nice copy of a nice-sounding set that’s hard to find in good condition, as the box is usually damaged.
