Offered for sale is an original red vinyl copy of the 1967 Japan-only instrumental LP Kayokyoku Best 14 by the Young Beats, including a cheesecake cover and the original obi.
The Young Beats were an instrumental guitar group similar to the Ventures.
About this copy: This copy of Kayokyoku Best 14 is a 1967 pressing on the Toshiba label, pressed on “Everclean” red vinyl.
The cover is M-, with a couple of minor creases. The obi is M-; the “hojyuhyo,” or reorder tag, is still attached.
This LP was issued without an insert. The original envelope-style inner sleeve is included.
The red vinyl disc is M- and may be unplayed. Clean disc!
A nice copy of a pretty good record that is rarely found complete.
Background: We don’t know much about the Young Beats. They were one of many bands to pop up during the mid-1960’s “Eleki” (electric) movement in Japan, inspired by the Ventures.
We know they released at least four albums in Japan between 1967 and 1969.
This LP consists of 14 guitar instrumentals. We can’t find a video of a track from this album, but the track below is typical of how this album sounds.
