About this copy: This copy of Gunslinger is a 1983 U.S. pressing on the Texas-based Trigger Records label.
The cover is M-. The custom inner sleeve is VG++ with a few wrinkles, but no splits.
The disc is VG++ and close to M- with a couple of faint scuffs from the heavy paper inner sleeve. There are no spindle marks on the labels; the record has likely only been played once or twice. Clean disc!
A nice copy of a scarce (and pretty good) blues rock LP. We lived in Texas in the 1980s and never saw this LP there.
Background: There isn’t a lot of information online about Tres Hombres, the band, though actor/drummer Billy Bob Thornton once referred to them as the “best little cover band in Texas.”
The band released one album, the 1983 Gunslinger, released on the Houston, Texas-based Trigger Records label.
The album didn’t chart, and may have been sold only at personal appearances.
