Offered for sale is a still sealed copy of the limited edition remastered 2 LP version of Tom Petty and the Hearbreaker’s LP Damn the Torpedoes.
About this copy: This is a still sealed copy of the 2010 remastered limited edition of Damn the Torpedoes, pressed on 180 gram vinyl and including the 12 page booklet. As the album is still sealed, the records are presumably new and unplayed.
The cover is still sealed in the loose bag wrap with a fully intact perforated strip. There are no rips, tears, holes, or cutout marks of any kind. It’s about as nice a copy of this album as you’ll find anywhere.
The wrap still the original hype sticker that describes the album and its contents attached.
Note: This is the black vinyl edition of the album.
Background: Damn the Torpedoes was the third album by Tom Petty and the Hearbreakers, released in 1979 and reaching #2 on the U.S. Billboard charts, largely on the strength of the album’s three singles – “Refugee,” “Don’t Do Me Like That,” and “Here Comes My Girl.”
In 2010, the album was remastered and was briefly available as a 2 LP set, pressed at Pallas in Germany on 180 gram audiophile vinyl.
This edition of the album included 9 bonus tracks, including 7 that were up until then previously unreleased:
- Casa Dega
- It’s Rainin’ Again
- Shadow of a Doubt (A Complex Kid) (live)
- Don’t Do Me Like That (live)
- Somethin’ Else (live)
- Casa Dega (demo)
- Refugee (alternate take)
This edition also included a gatefold cover, a 12 page booklet and a complimentary download of the album in multiple audio formats (though those have likely expired by now.)
