Offered for sale is an original U.S. stereo copy of Jamie and the J. Silvia Singers.
While released under the name of the “J. Silvia Singers,” this was actually the third album by the J’s With Jamie.
About this copy: This copy of Jamie and the J. Silvia Singers is a 1966 U.S. pressing on the ABC-Paramount label.
The cover is VG++ with slight general wear. The disc is M- with one or two very faint scuffs.
A nice copy of a well recorded (and quite rare) pop LP.
Background: Released in 1966, Jamie and the J. Silvia Singers was the third LP by The J’s With Jamie, released under the name “The J. Silvia Singers.”
While the group isn’t all that well known by name, they recorded hundreds of commercials for both radio and television in the late 1950s and early 1960s.
They released only four albums – two under the name of “The J’s With Jamie” and two under the name of “Jamie With the J Silvia Singers.” They also released a lot of non-album singles.
None of their albums charted, though their non-LP single, “Yoshiko” is quite collectible.
