Offered for sale is a scarce mono promotional copy of The Crickets’ final album, California Sun, released in 1964 by Liberty Records.
The Crickets kept on going after Buddy Holly’s 1959 death and had a few chart hits in the early 1960s. Their 1964 LP California Sun would be their last, however, and the bandmembers moved on to other things.

About this copy: The copy offered for sale is a rare promotional copy, with beige promo labels. The cover is VG+, with some wear at the edges. It does have a name and a price written on the back cover. The record is VG++, with just a couple of very faint marks from being removed from the inner sleeve and a spindle mark or two. It appears to have been played only a couple of times. We haven’t seen a promo copy of this album offered for sale in more than a decade.
