Offered for sale is an original German pressing of Macula Transfer by Edgar Froese, the founder of Tangerine Dream.
This pressing offers the original mix of the album, which has never been available on compact disc.
About this copy: This copy of Macula Transfer is a mid-1970s German pressing on the green Brain label.
The cover is VG++ with few lamination wrinkles and a stain where a price sticker was removed. It’s very close to M-.
The disc is M- and appears to have had little, if any play.
A nice copy of a scarce Tangerine Dream- related LP.
Background: Released in 1976, Macula Transfer was the third solo album by Edgar Froese.
As with his earlier releases, Macula Transfer did not chart in any major country.
An album of guitar and synthesizer soundscapes, Macula Transfer was composed by Tangerine Dream founder Edgar Froese in 1975 and 1976 during the different airline flights that give the tracks their titles. Though the LP does make good traveling or background music, most of it is emotionally ambiguous, without enough detail or variety to reward active listening.
