Description
Offered for sale is a still sealed original U.S. pressing of Irresistible , the only solo album by Tammi Terrell.
About this copy: This copy of Irresistible is a 1969 U.S. pressing on the Motown label.
As the album is still sealed, the record is presumably new and unplayed.
The wrap is fully intact except for a tiny break at the bottom right corner and at the top right corner, which has been cut.
An original price tag is attached to the wrap (price not shown.)
A beautiful copy of a terrific (and fairly rare) R&B LP.
Background: After three albums of duets with Chuck Jackson (one) and Marvin Gaye (two,) Tammi Terrell finally released a solo album, Irresistible, in 1969.
It was her only solo album, as she died from cancer the following year.
Irresistible reached #39 on the U.S. album chart.
Allmusic.com gave Irresistible a 4 1/2 star review:
Tammi Terrell had a sexy, hypnotic voice and alluring sensibility that not only made her an ideal partner for Marvin Gaye, but could have resulted in substantial impact as a solo singer. This album includes her finest solo single, “I Can’t Believe You Love Me,” and some other interesting numbers, although Terrell never received any songs for herself that matched what she did with Gaye.
