About this copy: This copy of Tribute to Uncle Ray is a 1981 Japanese pressing on the blue Motown label of an album that was originally released in the U.S. in 1962.

This pressing is actually the first Japanese release of this LP.

The cover is VG++ with slight ring wear on the front cover.  The obi is M-.  The insert is M-.

The disc is M- and looks unplayed.  Clean disc!

A nice copy of a classic LP.

Background: Released in 1962, Tribute to Uncle Ray was the second album by “Little” Stevie Wonder.

The album did not chart.

Allmusic.com gave Tribute to Uncle Ray this review:

“Little Stevie Wonder, Tamla’s 11-year-old musical genius, is blind, a similarity he shares with a famed musician and vocalist of today,” shamelessly announce the liner notes of this album. Unfortunately, Wonder at 11 does not share much of Ray Charles’s vocal abilities, even when he is singing Charles’ songs (others are “originals in the style of his idol”) and, since he doesn’t play on the record, there’s no similarity there either.
