About this copy: This copy of Family Style is a 1990 U.S. pressing on the CBS Associated label.

The cover is VG+ with light wear on the back and a small tear on the back near the lower right hand corner.  A name has been written near the top of the back cover in ballpoint pen.

The custom inner sleeve is M- with no splits.  The disc is M- and looks unplayed.  Clean disc!

A nice copy of a Stevie Ray Vaughan LP that’s hard to find on vinyl, as most copies sold on compact disc when the album was first released.

Background:  Released just weeks after Stevie Ray Vaughan’s 1990 death, Family Style is the only LP that paired him with his brother, Jimmy.

The album reached #7 on the U.S. album chart.

Allmusic.com gave Family Style a 3 star review:

With slick production from Nile Rodgers and employing neither guitarist’s band (Double Trouble nor the Fabulous Thunderbirds), this is bluesy, but far from purist. Jimmie makes his vocal debut on “White Boots” and “Good Texan,” and the brothers blur the lines between their expected guitar styles — Stevie sometimes going for a less sustainy twang, Jimmie moving into Albert King territory.
