Offered for sale is a limited edition half speed mastered U.S. pressing of Katy Lied by Steely Dan, issued by Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs.
About this copy: This copy of Katy Lied is a 1978 U.S. pressing on the Mobile Fidelity label of an album that was originally released in 1975.
While this is technically a U.S. release, the disc was pressed in Japan by JVC using their proprietary “Supervinyl” compound.
The cover is VG+ with slight edge and corner wear. The posterboard stiffener is M-. Included are a sheet to send in if the record is defective, a warranty sheet, and a Mobile Fidelity catalog, which at that time only had 8 titles!
The disc is VG++ and close to M- with a couple of very faint sleeve scuffs and a few spindle marks on the labels. It’s a clean disc that has had relatively little play.
A nice copy of a scarce Steely Dan LP.
Background: Released in 1975, Katy Lied was the fourth studio album by Steely Dan.
The album reached #13 on both the U.S. and UK album charts.
