Offered for sale is a sealed stereo pressing of the self-titled 1967 debut LP by Spanky and Our Gang, subtitled Featuring Sunday Will Never Be the Same.
Spanky and Our Gang only released three studio albums during their brief time together, but all of them were memorable. Their self-titled debut, released in August, 1967, had three Top 40 hits on it – “Sunday Will Never Be the Same”, “Making Every Minute Count”, and “Lazy Day”, along with the non-charting single, “Leaving on a Jet Plane,” which became a hit for Peter Paul and Mary.
While they got better with their next two records, their debut is still a solid effort and is surprisingly hard to find in good condition. The copy offered for sale is a sealed stereo pressing; the record is presumably new and unplayed. This copy also has no cutout holes, saw marks, cut corners or any other imperfections. The wrap is tight and complete and this is as nice a copy of this album as you’d ever hope to find.
A pretty terrific record, too.
