Description
Offered for sale is an original U.S. stereo copy of Meet the Searchers/Needles & Pins by the Searchers.
Note: While both titles are on the cover, the label lists Meet the Searchers as the title. This is a different album from the UK LP with the same title.
About this copy: This copy of Meet the Searchers is a 1964 U.S. pressing on the black Kapp label.
The cover is VG with moderate ring wear on the front cover, but no splits. A name has been written on the back cover in ballpoint pen.
The disc is M- and appears to be virtually unplayed. Clean disc!
A nice copy of a pretty good LP that is usually found in poor condition.
Background: Released in 1964, Meet the Searchers/Needles & Pins was the debut LP by the Searchers.
While the first album by the band was called Meet the Searchers in both the U.S. and the UK, they are different albums. The U.S. album is a compilation of tracks from the UK Meet the Searchers and Sugar and Spice LPs, plus the “Needles and Pins” single, which wasn’t included on either UK LP.
The album reached #22 on the U.S. album charts.
