Offered for sale is an original red vinyl stereo copy of Sarah Vaughan’s 1962 LP You’re Mine You.

Sarah Vaughan had a long and successful career as a jazz singer, but she occasionally dabbled in pop, and You’re Mine You is one such example of Vaughan working with an orchestra, in this case conducted by Quincy Jones.

As with most Quincy Jones-produced albums, the sound is first-rate and You’re Mine You has been reissued several times in recent years by various audiophile labels, as the album is not only a great listen, but it’s a great recording, too.

A few copies of the stereo first pressings of You’re Mine You were pressed on red vinyl.

AllMusic had this to say about You’re Mine You:

This LP finds Sarah Vaughan backed by big-band and string arrangements from Quincy Jones that could easily have been used for a Frank Sinatra date. Vaughan’s voice is typically wondrous and … in top form on the more swinging numbers. In the repertoire are such tunes as “The Best Is Yet to Come,” “The Second Time Around” and “Baubles, Bangles and Beads.” More of a middle-of-the-road pop date than a creative jazz session (the personnel is not given), the set is not essential but should please those who love the sound of Vaughan’s remarkable voice.
