About this copy: This copy of Between the Buttons is an original U.S. mono pressing on the London label.
While the shrink wrap has been opened, the plastic bag inner sleeve is still sealed and the record is new and unplayed.
The cover retains the original shrink wrap; there is a hype sticker that reads “Between the Buttons – The Rolling Stones -Including Ruby Tuesday.”
The cover is M-; there is faint wear at the two right hand corners. There is a small tear in the wrap in the lower right hand corner.
A beautiful copy of a rare mono Rolling Stones LP that would be difficult to upgrade.
Background: Released in February, 1967, Between the Buttons is the seventh American album by the Rolling Stones, and one of their last LPs to be released in both mono and stereo, as mono LPs were phased out the following year.
Allmusic.com gave Between the Buttons a rare 5 star review:
The Rolling Stones’ 1967 recordings are a matter of some controversy; many critics felt that they were compromising their raw, rootsy power with trendy emulations of the Beatles, Kinks, Dylan, and psychedelic music. Approach this album with an open mind, though, and you’ll find it to be one of their strongest, most eclectic LPs, with many fine songs that remain unknown to all but Stones devotees.
