Description
Offered for sale is an original Canadian Living Stereo pressing of Mussourgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition, recorded by Fritz Reiner and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.
About this copy: This copy of Pictures at an Exhibition is an original Canadian Living Stereo pressing, issued in 1958.
The cover is M-; the disc is VG+, with some scuffs from the original paper sleeve (included) but no significant marks.
Stamper numbers are 9s/4s. We played this copy, and the pressing is quite good, though there is a bit of surface noise, as is common with these older RCA titles.
A nice copy of a terrific LP and one of our favorite classical titles.
Background: Mussourgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition has long been a popular favorite as classical music goes, and Reiner’s recording with the CSO in 1958 has long been an audiophile favorite, as it’s a terrific recording.
