Offered for sale is a still sealed copy of the limited edition 10″ pressing of the second album by The Police, Regatta de Blanc, issued in 1979.
The second album by the Police, 1979’s Regatta de Blanc, was the album that brought them to the attention of the public at large. Containing the hit, Message in a Bottle, the album sold well and was well-received by critics. At the time, the band’s U.S. record label, A&M Records, was pressing a lot of limited edition items, and in that vein, they offered this album for sale as both a regular 12″ LP and a limited edition pressing, pressed on two 10″ records and including a poster which was not included with the 12″ pressing.
The record offered for sale is a still sealed copy of that 10″ pressing with the poster and two hype stickers, one which says, “It’s the whole album on a 2 record set”, and the other which says, “The 10-inch album includes a full-color poster of the police.”
The number of these which were pressed isn’t known, but they weren’t available for very long. This copy is still sealed and is believed to be perfectly mint. There are no rips or tears in the wrap; this will be your final upgrade.
A great copy of a record that’s hard to find in this condition.
