About this copy: This copy of The Dark Side of the Moon is a 1973 second issue, pressed on the Harvest label.

The cover does not have the words “INTERPAK Pats. Pending” on the inside of the cover, which was present on the first issue.
This copy was pressed at Capitol’s Los Angeles, California pressing plant.
The cover is VG, with wear at the edges and corners, mostly at the bottom edge.
The posters are VG+ with thumbtack holes in the four corners, but no tears. The stickers are intact, with a couple of staple holes in each.
The disc is VG, with a number of faint marks and a few sleeve scuffs. There are a number of spindle marks on the labels.
Not a perfect copy by any means, but complete early pressings of this album are surprisingly hard to find.
Background: The Dark Side of the Moon was Pink Floyd’s eighth album and it’s the one that made them superstars. Reaching #1 in the U.S. and #2 in the UK, the album is one of the biggest selling albums in history.
While the album topped the U.S. charts for only one week, it spent 741 weeks in the U.S. top 200 – fifteen years.
By condensing the sonic explorations of Meddle to actual songs and adding a lush, immaculate production to their trippiest instrumental sections, Pink Floyd inadvertently designed their commercial breakthrough with Dark Side of the Moon. …Pink Floyd may have better albums than Dark Side of the Moon, but no other record defines them quite as well as this one.
