Description
Offered for sale is an original Dutch pressing of The Best of the Pink Floyd by Pink Floyd.
This LP collects a number of the band’s early singles and has never been released in the U.S.
About this copy: This copy of The Best of the Pink Floyd is a 1970 Dutch pressing on the black Columbia label.
The cover is VG+ with light ring wear and a 1 1/4″ (3 cm) split at the center of the spine.
The disc is VG+, with a few scuffs from the heavy paper inner sleeve. There are only a couple of spindle marks on the labels, so the album has clearly had little play.
A nice copy of a somewhat scarce Pink Floyd LP.
Background: Released only in Europe in 1970, The Best of the Pink Floyd (later reissued as Masters of Rock) was the band’s first compilation.
The album did not chart anywhere, but compiles A and B sides from a number of hard to find singles from the Syd Barrett era of the band.
Tracks are:
- Chapter 24
- Mathilda Mother
- Arnold Layne
- Candy And A Current Bun
- The Scarecrow
- Apples And Oranges
- It Would Be So Nice
