Description
Offered for sale is an original red vinyl Japanese pressing of The Best of Peter, Paul & Mary by Peter, Paul & Mary, including a partial original obi.
This LP is a Japan-only release and this copy with the blue obi is the original issue.
About this copy: This copy of The Best of Peter, Paul & Mary is a 1965 Japanese pressing on the Warner Brothers label, pressed on “Everclean” red vinyl.
The gatefold cover is VG+, with moderate foxing inside the cover and a bit of wear on the top edge.
The obi is incomplete; only the front half is original; the remainder was cut away. It’s been repaired to form a complete obi.
The original envelope-style paper inner sleeve is missing. The insert is VG++ with slight discoloration from age.
The red vinyl disc is VG++ with a couple of faint sleeve scuffs. It’s a very clean record that has had little play.
A nice, if imperfect, copy of an album that’s hard to find as a first pressing.
