In the late 1970s, a number of labels issued limited edition pressings of popular albums either on colored vinyl or as picture discs. The picture disc fad was rather short-lived, as consumers discovered that while the records looked nice, they tended to warp easily and didn’t sound as good as regular albums.
Among the titles released during this period was Band on the Run by Paul McCartney and Wings. The original album came out in 1973, and the picture disc was briefly available in 1978.
This copy is still sealed and unplayed. There are no tears in the wrap or cutout holes. If you’re looking for a virtually pristine copy of this somewhat scarce pressing, this is it.
