Offered for sale is a first pressing copy of a rare Japan-only compilation LP by Nancy Sinatra titled Golden Nancy Sinatra, including the original obi.
There is a 7″ EP with this same cover and title that is far more common than the LP, which rarely turns up for sale.
About this copy: This copy of Golden Nancy Sinatra is an original 1967 issue on the tri-color Reprise label, and not the more common second pressing on the two-color label.
The cover is VG++, with faint edge and corner wear. The obi is M-, with no tears.
This LP was issued without an insert, as it has a gatefold cover with lyrics and photos inside.
The disc is VG+, with two inaudible marks on side one and one on side two. The disc has had relatively little play.
A nice copy of a rare Nancy Sinatra LP that is quite hard to find as a first pressing.
Background: Nancy Sinatra’s career didn’t take off in the United States until 1966, but she’d had success in Japan since her first single in 1962.
As a result, there are a number of compilation albums that have been released with her songs only in Japan. Golden Nancy Sinatra was one of the first of those.
