The cover is M- with trace corner wear. The generic Mastersound insert is M-.
The disc is M- with one or two spindle marks on the labels, but no marks on the vinyl. Clean disc!
A nice copy of a scarce Michael Jackson LP and the first copy we’ve had in quite a while.
Background: In 1980, Columbia Records introduced their Mastersound series, which included titles that were either digitally remastered or half speed mastered and pressed on heavy, high-quality vinyl.
These titles were sold at a premium price, did not sell particularly well, and did not stay in print for very long.
Released in August, 1979, Off the Wall was the fifth solo album by Michael Jackson.
The album reached #3 on both the U.S. and UK album charts. The album has sold more than twenty million copies to date.

Michael Jackson had recorded solo prior to the release of Off the Wall in 1979, but this was his breakthrough, the album that established him as an artist of astonishing talent and a bright star in his own right.
