This version was cut at 45 RPM and pressed on 180 gram vinyl for optimal sound quality.

The cover is VG+, with slight wear on the corners and a small 2″ (5 cm) split at the top edge.
The outer bag and hype sticker is included. The “Louder Faster Heavier” obi-style banner is included (not shown) and is M-.
The 180 gram 45 RPM discs are M- and look unplayed. Clean discs!
A nice copy of a great-sounding LP.
Background: Starting in 2008, Warner Brothers Records reissued the entire Metallica catalog as a series of high-quality “audiophile” pressings, with each title pressed on 180 gram vinyl, and cut at 45 RPM using Mobile Fidelity’s half speed mastering technology.
The resulting LPs sounded great, but were a bit expensive and didn’t stay in print very long and are all hard to find today.
Released in 1984, Ride the Lightning was the second album by Metallica. While the album peaked at #48 on the U.S. album charts, the album has since sold more than six million copies.
