Offered for sale is a U.S. copy of Mary Hopkin’s Those Were the Days LP, issued in 1971 on the Beatles’ Apple Records label.
The Beatles Apple label didn’t have a lot of big-selling artists, aside from members of the group itself, but Mary Hopkin did have a big hit in 1968 with the track, Those Were the Days. While that song originally appeared (in some countries) on the album, Postcard, Apple used it as the title for a Mary Hopkin compilation LP they released in 1971.
Like many of the non-Beatles titles issued by the label, the album is somewhat scarce today.
You can hear the title track in the video below:
About this copy: The record is VG++, with just a few slight sleeve scuffs. It clearly has had very little play. The cover is M-, and still retains the original factory shrink wrap and price sticker.
