Description
Offered for sale is a sealed stereo first pressing of Lesley Gore’s 1963 debut LP, I’ll Cry if I Want to, with the record still sealed in the plastic inner sleeve.
About this copy: The copy offered for sale is an original stereo pressing on the black Mercury label, which was discontinued shortly after the release of this LP. The cover is VG++, with the faintest traces of wear at the bottom front. The record is still sealed in the original plastic inner sleeve and is new and unplayed.
A rare copy of a classic 1960s pop LP.
Background: Lesley Gore’s 1963 debut, I’ll Cry if I Want to, while not her best LP, was the highest charting LP of her career, peaking at #24 on the Billboard albums chart. While the album isn’t overly rare, stereo first pressings are fairly scarce, as most albums sold at the time, particularly by pop artists, were mono.
