Offered for sale is an early blue/orange vinyl pressing of the 2 LP live album Going to California by Led Zeppelin, issued on the Trademark of Quality label.
About this copy: This copy of Going to California is a later Trademark of Quality issue, with the sideways pig on the label.
The cover is VG, with some general wear and a discolored area where some sort of label was once attached in the upper right hand corner. There are no tears, splits or holes in the cover.
The title has been rubber stamped on the cover, and there is a foil sticker on the cover that says “Genuine Trade Mark of Quality Disc.”
A reproduction of the original insert (which was itself a photocopy) is included.
The orange disc (sides 1 and 2) is M-.
The blue disc (sides 3 and 4) is VG++, with a few faint scuffs from being removed from the heavy original paper inner sleeves.
Neither disc appears to have been played more than once or twice.
A beautiful copy of a Led Zeppelin LP that rarely turns up in collectible condition.
Background: Going to California was one of the earliest Led Zeppelin titles to be issued by the Trademark of Quality label. The 2 LP set is a recording taken from a concert in Berkeley, California on September 14, 1971.
