Offered for sale is an early blue vinyl pressing of the 2 LP live album Going to California by Led Zeppelin, issued on the Trademark of Quality label.
About this copy: This copy of Going to California is an early Trademark of Quality issue, with numbered labels, rather than the labels with pigs used on later versions
The cover is a plain white cover, with no rubber stamped title or sticker, though there is some sticker residue on the front. There is also some cellophane tape residue on the edges of the cover.
The original title insert is included, though it has cellophane tape and a small area that has been cut out. We’ve included a reproduction insert.
The two blue vinyl discs are VG-, with a number of small marks on all 4 sides, but no major scratches. The discs play well.
Not a mint copy, by any means, but mint copies have sold for as much as $800 on the collector’s market.
Background: Going to California was one of the earliest Led Zeppelin titles to be issued by the Trademark of Quality label. The 2 LP set is a recording taken from a concert in Berkeley, California on September 14, 1971.
