Background: Kathy Kirby was a British pop singer who had a huge voice, and she was, for a time, the highest paid singer in Britain.
She was far more successful there than in the United States, where only one single even made the U.S. Top 100.
Released in 1963, Kathy Kirby Sings 16 Hits From Stars & Garters was her debut LP and it reached #11 on the UK album charts.
