Background: For centuries, tuberculosis was a feared disease, and in the early 20th century, the Christmas Seals program was created to raise money for the cause. For a donation, you received “seals,” which were postage-stamp sized coupons that you could attach to letters or packages to make others aware of the campaign.
For several years in the late 1950s and 1960s, promotional radio shows were issued featuring popular artists of the day to promote the campaigns.
