About this copy: This copy of Julie London Sings Latin in a Satin Mood is a 1963 UK stereo pressing on the Liberty label.

The cover is VG+, with a small tear on the back cover and a date written in ballpoint pen.

The disc is VG, and close to VG+, with a few light marks on each side.  It plays well.

A nice copy of a scarce Julie London LP that is often sought out for the cover alone.

Background: Released in 1963, Julie London Sings Latin in a Satin Mood was the eighteenth studio album by jazz/pop singer Julie London.

The album did not chart.

Allmusic.com gave Julie London Sings Latin in a Satin Mood this review:

Exotic and Latin albums were big deals in the 1950s and early ’60s, and singers as diverse as Dean Martin, Lena Horne, and Peggy Lee were recording with castanets and bongo drums. Peggy Lee was so successful at the style that she cut two albums of light pseudo-Latin jazz in 1960. … Latin in a Satin Mood ends up sounding exactly like what it was intended to be — an aid to put a little vanilla Latin sparkle in suburban American bedrooms.
