Offered for sale is a rare U.S. green vinyl pressing of Milk and Honey by John Lennon and Yoko Ono.

About this copy: This copy of Milk and Honey is an original U.S. pressing on green vinyl.  The green vinyl disc was originally issued without a cover, but we’ve found a cover for it to complete the set.

The cover is M- and retains the original shrink wrap and the original hype sticker.

The green vinyl disc is M- and may be unplayed.

A beautiful copy of a rare John Lennon item and the first copy we’ve had in many years.

Background:  Milk and Honey was the first posthumous release by John Lennon, and the album reached #11 on the U.S. album charts and #3 in the UK, helped by the single “Nobody Told Me.”

Shortly after the album’s release, a record company employee pressed an unknown number of copies of Milk and Honey on both green and yellow vinyl.  While technically unauthorized, these discs were pressed from the same stampers as the black vinyl copies that were shipped to stores.

The colored vinyl discs were originally distributed to collectors without covers and copies of the album on either color are quite hard to find today.
