Description
Offered for sale is a rare orange vinyl pressing of Sky High by Jimi Hendrix, issued in 1972 on the Skydog label.
Background: This copy of Sky High is an original 1972 U.S. pressing of an LP that purportedly includes Jim Morrison and Johnny Winter.
The cover is VG++ , with slight corner wear.
The orange vinyl disc is VG++ and very close to M-, with just a couple of faint sleeve scuffs. There are a couple of spindle marks on the labels. Clean disc!
A nice copy of a scarce Hendrix LP, as this one usually has major cover wear.
Background: Released in 1972, Sky High is an album that purportedly features Jimi Hendrix, Mitch Mitchell, Noel Redding, Jim Morrison, and Johnny Winter performing in a loose jam session, though Johnny Winter later denied performing on that recording.
The tapes have been released under a number of titles over the years, including “Woke Up This Morning and Found Myself Dead,” “High, Live & Dirty,” and “Bleeding Heart.”
The pressings called Sky High on Skydog records are among the earliest versions of the album, and most of those pressings were on colored vinyl.
