Offered for sale is an original red vinyl Japanese pressing of Piano Concerto No. 1 and No. 2/Liszt by Gyorgy Cziffra, including the original “hankake” obi.
The “hankake obi,” or “half-obi” was briefly used from late 1963 through early 1964 and is usually missing from all titles that originally included one.

The cover is VG + +, with slight edge and corner is one. The rare obi is M-. The original paper inner sleeve is enclosed.

A nice copy of a very rare classical LP.
Background: French-Hungarian pianist Gyorgy Cziffra released hundreds of classical recordings of a career that lasted four decades.
This particular LP, on which he was accompanied by Andre Vandernoot conducting the Philharmonia Orchestra, was originally released in 1959 in the UK on the His Master’s Voice label.
What makes this copy very unusual is that it is a first pressing that includes the ultra-rare “hankake obi”, also known as a “half obi” or a “three quarter obi.”
