Description
Offered for sale is an original Canadian Living Stereo pressing of Walton’s Facade and Lecocq’s Mamzelle Angot, released in 1959.
Fistoulari’s recording with the Royal Opera House Orchestra of Willam Walton’s Facade has long been an audiophile favorite, and original stereo pressings are quite hard to find.
About this copy: This copy of Facade is an original Canadian pressing on the RCA “shaded dog” label.
The cover is M- and still has the original loose bag wrap on it. The disc has 2s stampers on both sides, and is VG++, with just a few slight scuffs from the heavy paper inner sleeve that was originally included with the record (and is still present.)
A nice clean copy of a scarce classical LP, though it does play with a bit of surface noise.
