Offered for sale is a rare original pressing of Fapardokly, a privately pressed 1967 LP containing songs by Merrell Fankhauser .
While titled that way, Fapardokly wasn’t really a band. It was just the name that Merrell Fankhauser and his band, the Exiles, decided to put on the record for this privately pressed LP, which was reportedly limited to a single pressing of 500 copies.
While the album has been reissued numerous times here and there, the original pressings of Fapardokly (humorously misspelled as Fabardokly on the back cover) are quite rare.
You can hear one of the tracks from the album, “Tomorrow’s Girl” here:
About this copy: The copy offered for sale is in exceptional condition; the cover is still in the original shrink wrap and the cover is bright white. What appears to be ring wear on the back cover is actually a smudge from the factory.
There are minor bends in a couple of corners. The record is VG++, with just a couple of slight scuffs from being removed from the original paper sleeve. It’s very close to M- and clearly has only been played a few times.
A beautiful copy of a pop/psych classic and about as nice a copy as you’re ever likely to find.
