Offered for sale is early Japanese pressing of the debut LP by Elton John, Empty Sky, complete with original obi.
The early issues like this one used the UK cover art; the later pressings used the U.S. cover artwork.

About this copy: This copy of Empty Sky is a 1970 Japanese pressingon the DJM label.
The cover is VG+, with slight wear at the corners and edges.
The obi is VG+, with a few minor wrinkles and a bit of wear at the top and bottom edges. The cover has the original ¥2000 price printed on it; the obi has ¥2200, suggesting that this LP was a slightly later pressing.
The original lyric insert and factory inner sleeve are included.
The disc is M-, with a couple of spindle marks on the labels but no marks whatsoever on the vinyl.
A nice copy of a scarce Elton John LP.
Background: Empty Sky was the first solo album by Elton John. The LP was released in June, 1969 in the UK, and in September, 1970 in Japan. The album did not chart in either country.
The album was not released in the United States until January, 1975, (with a different cover) though it did eventually reach #6 on the U.S. charts.
No singles were released from the album.
