An unusual promotional 12" single with one side by the Electric Light Orchestra and another by Quiet Riot
Offered for sale is an unusual promotional 12″ single featuring the Electric Light Orchestra’s “Rock ‘n Roll is King” on one side and Quiet Riot’s “Cum On Feel the Noize” on the other.
While promotional 12″ singles were fairly common in the early 1980s, singles featuring two different artists on two different labels were then, and are now, rather unusual.
The single offered for sale has two hit songs by two different artists on two different labels – ELO’s “Rock ‘n Roll is King” on the Jet label on one side and Quiet Riot’s “Cum on Feel the Noize” on the Pasha label on the other.
The record is likely unplayed; it has a couple of faint scuffs from the paper sleeve but no other marks. The cover is a generic black posterboard sleeve with a promotional stamp on it.
We’ve seen a lot of promo singles over the years by both artists, but we’ve never seen this one before.
