The two 180 gram LPs are cut at 45 RPM for better sound quality.

About this copy: This copy of The Eagles is a 2021 U.S. pressing on the Mobile Fidelity label of an album that was originally released in 1971.

As the album is still sealed, the records are presumably new and unplayed.

This copy is #5106 of an edition of 7500 copies.

The wrap is fully intact with no rips, tears, or holes.  There is a hype sticker on the wrap that says “Ultradisc One-Step Now Pressed on Super Vinyl.”

A nice copy of a classic LP.

Background: The Eagles was the first LP by the band of the same name, and the LP sold modestly, reaching #22 on the U.S. album charts, though it was eventually certified platinum by the RIAA.

The album had three charting singles, all of which reached #22 or higher – “Take It Easy,” “Witchy Woman,” and “Peaceful Easy Feeling.”

Allmusic.com gave The Eagles a 3 star review:

Balance is the key element of the Eagles’ self-titled debut album, a collection that contains elements of rock & roll, folk, and country, overlaid by vocal harmonies alternately suggestive of doo wop, the Beach Boys, and the Everly Brothers. …”Take It Easy” and “Peaceful Easy Feeling” are similar-sounding mid-tempo folk-rock tunes sung by Frey that express the same sort of laid-back philosophy, as indicated by the word “easy” in both titles, while “Witchy Woman,” a Henley vocal and co-composition, initiates the band’s career-long examination of supernaturally evil females. These are the songs one remembers from Eagles, and they look forward to the eventual dominance of the band by Frey and Henley. But the complete album from which they come belongs as much to Leadon’s country-steeped playing and singing and to Meisner’s melodic rock & roll feel, which, on the release date, made it seem a more varied and consistent effort than it did later, when the singles had become overly familiar.
