Offered for sale is a limited edition audiophile pressing of the song “The Look of Love” by Dusty Springfield, pressed at 33 1/3 and 45 RPM by Classic Records.
The soundtrack to Casino Royale has long been an audiophile favorite, particularly for Dusty Springfield’s recording of “The Look of Love,” which one reviewer called “the quintessential recording of the human voice.”
When Classic Records reissued the album a few years back, they also released that track alone as a 12″ single, with one side playing the song at 33 1/3 RPM and the other side at 45 RPM. This record was released several different times on different types and weights of vinyl.
About this copy: This copy of “The Look of Love” is a 12″ single by Classic Records, pressed on 200 gram Quiex SV-P vinyl. The white cover is still in its original shrink wrap and has a title sticker as well as a sticker hyping the weight of the vinyl and the Quiex SV-P vinyl.
The single has only been played a couple of times and is in M- condition. However, it came with a small pressing defect on the 45 RPM side. This small mark does cause some pops during playback. The 33 1/3 side plays just fine.
A nice copy of a terrific single.
