Offered for sale is a copy of the rare Japan-only compilation LP The Doors Super Deluxe by the Doors, including the original obi.
About this copy: This copy of The Doors Super Deluxe is an original 1971 Japanese pressing on the blue “guitar man” Elektra label.
The cover is VG+ with no wear, but with some fading at the edges. This seems to be common with this title. The obi is VG+ with a fold across the center; a previous owner likely folded it and stored it inside the cover..
This LP was issued without an insert, as it has a gatefold cover with a four page lyric/photo booklet that includes the information that would have been printed on an insert.
The disc is M-, with a couple of spindle marks on the labels, but no marks on the vinyl. Beautiful disc!
A nice copy of a very rare Doors LP and only the second copy we’ve ever had for sale.
Background: Released in 1971, The Doors Super Deluxe was issued only in Japan, and collected tracks from the band’s first five studio albums.
It did not sell well, was quickly deleted, and has never been reissued.
