An early original stereo pressing of Dick Schory's 1958 LP, Music for Bang, Baaroom and Harp with 1S stampers
Offered for sale is an early original Living Stereo pressing of Music for Bang, Baaroom and Harp, issued in 1958 by RCA Records as LSP-1866. This is a first issue with 1S stampers on both sides.
Music for Bang, Baaroom and Harp has long been an audiophile favorite, and it’s one of the iconic stereo demonstration discs from the golden age of stereo. While it’s light pop, the tunes are catchy enough and the soundstage is huge and wide. In addition, the music moves across the room and on one track, you’ll hear tap dancers moving from left to right and back again. It might be lightweight musically, but it’s a treat to hear and a great way to show off your stereo.
This particular copy is an original stereo pressing, with 1S stampers on both sides. While not mint, the disc is VG, with a number of marks on each side, but plays surprisingly well. The cover is VG, with moderate wear and a repaired 5″ seam split. The original RCA inner sleeve is included.
A great and affordable opportunity to hear a true first pressing of this audiophile classic.
